Bob Myers leaves the Golden State Warriors after 12 successful years

Myers turned down several offers from the Warriors

After a period of careful consideration, Warriors president of basketball operations and general manager Bob Myers has decided not to extend his contract.

Myers revealed his decision to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski: “It’s just time.”

The reporter added that Myers turned down several offers from the Warriors that would have made him one of the league’s highest-paid managers.

Arriving in the Bay Area as an assistant GM in 2011, Myers became the GM the following year, helping the team to win four NBA titles and six trips to the Finals in 11 seasons.
