Ben Simmons is reportedly open to remaining with the Sacramento Kings beyond the upcoming season. According to Marc J. Spears, the veteran appreciates the opportunity to rebuild his career in a smaller market focused primarily on basketball.
“He’s never played in a small market, and sometimes that’s a safer haven,” Spears said, also praising the support provided by Sacramento’s fans.
Simmons signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract after missing the entire 2025-26 season. The deal allows the Kings to evaluate his health and production before considering a longer-term commitment.
