BC Rome is pleased to announce the arrival of Kelly Olynyk, a player of great international experience, with over 800 appearances in the NBA and a bronze medal won with the Canadian national team at the 2023 World Cup.

Olynyk, who will wear jersey number 22, is completing the formalities regarding the entry visa procedure for Italy and will reach the Capital in the coming days.

Alessandro Magro, Head Coach of BC Rome, stated: “We are happy with the new acquisition and thank the Club for completing the negotiation. He is a player who needs no introduction: he has a very respectable curriculum and many seasons in the NBA and can bring his experience and qualities to the service of the team. He is a player who understands basketball, knows how to open the court to shoot three-pointers, knows how to pass the ball, and I have confidence that he can quickly integrate into our systems to give us a hand from the very beginning”.

Kelly Olynyk commented: “I am very happy with this opportunity and to become part of the BC Rome project. I can’t wait to arrive in Rome, meet my new teammates, and start working together with the team. I am thrilled with this new experience”.
