Two prominent NBA figures could join the leadership of the new Rome club, while Luka Doncic is expected to serve as its public face

Bryan Colangelo has emerged as the leading candidate to become BC Roma’s president. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Phoenix, Toronto and Philadelphia executive could join Donnie Nelson in the new project.

Golden State Warriors legend and 1992 Dream Team member Chris Mullin is also reportedly set to join the board. Given the uncertainty over NBA approval for active players holding ownership stakes, Luka Doncic is instead expected to become the club’s public face and a technical sponsor through his 77X brand.

BC Roma is also reportedly strengthening its relationship with AS Roma. Across the city, a photograph of Francesco Totti wearing a Maxima Roma jersey has fueled speculation about a possible connection with Matiasic’s club.
