A final word from German government is expected by May 18.

German League BBL has agreed on the final format of the 10-team tournament which would conclude the current season in Munich in June and now awaits the German government final decision to proceed.

The permission is awaited by May 18. The tournament would feature ten teams split in two groups (Bayern, Crailsheim, Oldenburg, Gottingen and Ulm in Group A; Ludwigsburg, Alba, Vechta, Bamberg and Frankfurt in Group B) with then a two-leg playoff phase (quarterfinals, semifinals and final): the two finalists would have played a total of 10 games in a span of three weeks.
