Bayern Munich, Spencer Dinwiddie leaves as contract is mutually terminated

Spencer Dinwiddie will no longer play for FC Bayern Basketball: for personal reasons, the 32-year-old American guard has agreed to a mutual contract termination of the deal that was originally set to run through the end of the season.

Dinwiddie joined Munich in October for his first move to Europe, and travelled to the U.S. shortly before Christmas due to a serious illness in his family. “Unfortunately, I’m currently not able to play,” Dinwiddie said.

In the EuroLeague, he appeared in 11 games, averaging 11.7 points and 2.9 assists. In the domestic league, he played five games, posting 13.0 points and 4.0 assists per contest.
