Bayern Munich lose two key players from last season, as guards Carsen Edwards and Nick Weiler-Babb are both set to depart.
While Weiler-Babb’s move to Anadolu Efes had been known for some time, the situation with Edwards comes as a surprise — recent reports had suggested that a contract extension was nearly finalized.
The 27-year-old former Purdue standout led the EuroLeague in scoring last season, averaging 20.4 points per game on 44% shooting from the field, 35% from three, and 91% from the free-throw line, along with 3.3 assists and 1 steal.
Weiler-Babb, meanwhile, leaves the German club after five seasons. He averaged 8.2 points, 4.9 assists, and 1.5 steals per game in his final year with Bayern.
