Baskonia’s Querejeta pessimistic about resumption of EuroLeague season

The Euroleague season was suspended in March due to the spread of the coronavirus

Baskonia president Jose Antonio Querejeta is pessimistic about the possible resumption of the Euroleague season.

“I think finishing the Euroleague season will be extremely difficult. Each country has a different situation. The Spanish league is much more likely, however, because you can finish the season in a unique city. But ending the season, involving so many teams from different countries and with different epidemiological situations, will be difficult. I am pessimistic about the possible resumption of the Euroleague season” as reported by Onda Cero.

The Euroleague season was suspended in March due to the spread of the coronavirus. The decision on a possible resumption of the season will be made by May 24th. If the season continues, the remaining matches will be played from 4 to 26 July in a single city and without spectators.
