Baskonia are working on different market scenarios after being eliminated from the ACB playoffs. The expected departures of Forrest, Luwawu-Cabarrot and Diakite would leave the club without three starters and key offensive pieces.
Replacing Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot is one of the main priorities. The French wing appears close to accepting an offer from ASVEL Villeurbanne, forcing Baskonia to search for a scoring guard-forward.
One of the names on the list is DJ Stewart, a 1.96-meter American wing who turns 27 in July. In the last EuroCup season, he averaged 14 points, 3.5 rebounds and shot 41% from three-point range, emerging as one of the competition’s top perimeter players.
