Basket League: The thoughts of the players about the games of Saturday (14/11)

The official site of Basketleague, esake.gr present us the thoughts of the players about the games of Saturday (14/11).

The Greek basketball championship continues on Saturday (14/11) with two games. Kolossos Rhodes hosts Lavrio and Iraklis will play on the road against Ionikos.

Let’s see the thoughts of the players from these teams, as they spoke on the official page of the Basket League (esake.gr).

Kolossos Rhodes-Lavrio

Michalis Liapis-Kolossos Rhodes

“In the last game against Harilaos Trikoupis we didn’t manage to win. We weren’t as we should be to win the game. We quickly forget that and now we will focus on Lavrio, which is our next opponent. This team every year is in the same level. We are prepared to do what we did not do last time. I think the time has come for our first victory. We are decided to give everything for the victory. Like every match, I think that the key will be our defence and for this reason, we will limit the transition, because Lavrio likes tis kind of basketball. In the end, we would like to give good courage to all our fellow citizens, who are having a hard time these days”.

Vasilis Mouratos-Lavrio

On Saturday we will play our first game in this season. We are excited and there is a huge will for discrimination from everyone. We look forward to showing that last year was just the beginning. Everyone have difficulties, but we want to present as competitive as we can and we want to do one step more than last year. We have almost the same players and this has helped us to adapt more easily to the elements and the way of playing that we want to play and perform!  We have all missed basketball and I think we are all “thirsty” to. Even if Kolossos had two losses, it is very dangerous team.

Ionikos-Iraklis

Andreas Petropoulos Ionikos

“First of all, I want to say “get well soon” to out team-mate, Vasilis Toliopoulos, who had an unfortunate moment in training and we will not have him with us next time as he underwent surgery. All the guys here, we are sure that he return more stonger and and we are waiting for him back. As Ionikos, we want to leave behind the bad second halftime against Harilaos Trikoupis and we will do the restart from Iraklis match. Also, the Platonas court will host match greek first division for the first time after 33 years. I would like to wish good luck to our former coach, Stergios Koufos, who left our team and has proven all his years on the bench his worth”.

Dimitris Verginis-Iraklis

“The match against Aris wasn’t good for us, because we haven’t concentration and energy. This appearance of ours does not reflect our image, both of the first match and of the training sessions. We want the win against Ionikos on Saturday (14/11). We have to show character and determination from the beginning, and reach our second victory in the Championship. We are sorry from our fans for the bad appearence”.
