Juan Carlos Navarro will remain linked to Barcelona, but he will no longer serve as General Manager of the basketball section. According to SPORT, the Barça legend will not terminate his contractual relationship with the club and will continue in the project with a different role.
Barcelona are going through a major summer overhaul, with changes across the roster, coaching staff and front office. Mario Bruno Fernández and Xavi O’Callaghan have led the club’s market moves, while Xevi Pujol is expected to take over as the new General Manager early next week after leaving Baskonia.
Navarro, who signed a 10-year agreement with the club before the 2017-18 season, became technical secretary of the youth basketball department in 2019 and General Manager in April 2021. Barcelona are expected to announce his new role in the coming hours, before Pujol’s arrival becomes official.
