FC Barcelona and Olivier Nkamhoua have reached an agreement on a contract that will keep the Finnish forward at the club until June 30, 2028. The 26-year-old, 2.03-meter player joins Barcelona from Pallacanestro Varese after gaining international experience with the Finnish national team, in Germany and in the NCAA.

Nkamhoua is an athletic and versatile forward who can provide energy on defense, strong rebounding instincts and physical presence around the basket. Offensively, he brings explosiveness and the ability to finish plays above the rim, especially through movement and transition situations.
After completing his medical examination, Nkamhoua shared his excitement about joining the Catalan club: “I’m very happy to be here. I’m joining a historic club with a great tradition. From what I have seen, the fans are incredible, and my goal is to help the team achieve as many wins and titles as possible”.
The Finnish forward is ready for his first experience at this level of European basketball: “This will be my first year at this level. I will try to bring energy, effort, good shot selection and defensive intensity. There are many things I believe I can contribute, but we have to take it step by step. My goal is to improve every day and become better than I was the previous year”.
Nkamhoua also highlighted his excitement about playing in the EuroLeague: “Being able to compete in a competition like the EuroLeague is exciting. I’m very happy to take on this challenge”.
Barcelona has therefore added a young, athletic and versatile frontcourt player, hoping he can provide intensity, depth and growth potential for the upcoming seasons.
