FC Barcelona announced an agreement with Stanley Umude through June 30, 2028. The American player, who also holds Nigerian nationality, is a 1.98-meter forward who can also play shooting guard and arrives to add perimeter versatility.
This will be Umude’s first experience in Europe after 135 combined appearances between the G League and the NBA. He made his NBA debut with the Detroit Pistons, where he played most of his games, before also featuring for the Milwaukee Bucks, winning the 2024 NBA Cup, and the San Antonio Spurs.
Born in Portland on April 12, 1999, Umude brings defensive versatility, athleticism, switching ability and transition play to Barça. Thanks to his Nigerian passport, he qualifies as a Cotonou player and will not occupy one of the ACB’s non-EU roster spots.
