Partizan de Fuenlabrada is born
Baloncesto Fuenlabrada is now Partizan de Fuenlabrada, marking a historic new step in the relationship between the Spanish club and Partizan Belgrade.
The new name represents the culmination of a 35-year partnership that began when Partizan played its home games in Fuenlabrada during the 1991/92 European Cup due to the war in the former Yugoslavia.
That season, Partizan went on to win the European title, creating a unique bond between the Serbian club, Fuenlabrada and the wider Madrid region.
A partnership across multiple areas
The new Partizan de Fuenlabrada is a joint project between the two clubs, covering the institutional, sporting, social, business and branding areas.
The relationship that began when Fuenlabrada welcomed Partizan as its own team during the war has continued throughout the decades and has intensified significantly in recent years.
That long-standing collaboration has now evolved into a deeper form of integration, resulting in Fuenlabrada adopting the Partizan name.
35 years of shared history
The two clubs’ shared history goes beyond the success achieved on the court in 1992.

Fuenlabrada’s role in providing Partizan with a home during a difficult period created a connection that has remained strong for 35 years.

According to the club, these initiatives are expected to generate growth across multiple areas for the new Partizan de Fuenlabrada.
