Austin Reaves delivered a career night with 51 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists to lead the Los Angeles Lakers past the Sacramento Kings, 127-120, despite missing LeBron James and Luka Doncic.
Reaves went 12-for-22 from the field, 6-for-10 from deep, and 21-for-22 from the line, becoming the 12th player in Lakers history to reach 50 points. “I just wanted to do whatever it took to win,” Reaves said, after receiving a celebratory locker-room shower from his teammates.
Coach JJ Redick praised his group’s resilience: “It’s important to know we can win without those two guys.” Deandre Ayton added 22 points and 15 rebounds, while Doncic texted Reaves before the game: “Go get 60.”
