Austin Reaves is set to remain with the Los Angeles Lakers after agreeing to a four-year, $185 million maximum contract extension. The deal includes a player option for the 2029/30 season and marks the largest contract ever awarded to an undrafted player in NBA history.
To secure the new agreement, Reaves declined his previous $14.9 million player option. Negotiations between the Lakers and his representatives, Aaron Reilly and Reggie Berry of AMR Agency, intensified over the last several days before both sides finalized the historic deal. Reaves continues to be a key piece of the franchise’s long-term plans.
