Contract extension discussions between Dyson Daniels and the Atlanta Hawks are progressing slowly, with “some distance” still reported.
According to Jake Fischer of The People’s Insider, the two sides haven’t reached common ground yet, with the rookie-scale extension deadline set for October 20.
Daniels, last season’s Most Improved Player, averaged 14.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.0 steals. He could command an offer sheet worth around $30 million per year next summer.
