The day after Panathinaikos AKTOR lost to Olympiacos, head coach Ergin Ataman took to Instagram to voice his frustration with the officiating, posting a series of pointed stories.
In the first post, Ataman mocked a foul called against Sloukas, writing: “The tragicomic part of this video is that the foul was called on him, and the opponent went to the free-throw line. And no, it’s not a joke.” He followed with another jab: “We witnessed the invention of a new sport — Greco-Roman basketball. The first in world history.”
Known for his fiery personality, Ataman’s comments have reignited tensions surrounding Greece’s fiercest basketball rivalry.
