LDLC ASVEL has officially announced the signing of Patty Mills for the 2026-27 season. At 37 years old, the Australian point guard arrives in Villeurbanne with an outstanding résumé built over nearly two decades at the highest level of basketball.
Selected in the 2009 NBA Draft, Mills played for the Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat and Utah Jazz. It was in San Antonio, however, that he enjoyed the most successful chapter of his career, becoming an important part of Gregg Popovich’s team and winning the NBA championship in 2014.
Mills will bring experience, energy and leadership to ASVEL. Known for his ability to make an impact in big games with his outside shooting and aggressive offensive style, the Australian guard has also established himself as a true leader with the Australian national team.
His arrival in Villeurbanne also marks a symbolic reunion with Tony Parker. The two shared several seasons with the San Antonio Spurs and won the 2014 NBA championship together.
LDLC ASVEL’s 2026-27 recruitment is presented by Premium Partner Adéquat Intérim & Recrutement.
