ASVEL signs former NBA forward Mike Scott

Scott returns to France after winning BSN title and finals MVP award

Mike Scott is a new ASVEL player, as announced by the French club.

After a good first season in France with Nancy, the experienced forward helped the Gigantes de Carolina win the Puerto Rican championship with averages of more than 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists per game.

Scott had a long NBA career, with 555 regular season games (6.7 PPG, 3.1 RPG) and 57 in the playoffs.

Coach T.J. Parker’s comment:

“Mike has shown in recent months that his qualities are intact! He has quickly regained his level of play and will be very complementary to the other frontcourt players. He is a true offensive talent, a quality shooter from long distance who will be able to stretch defenses and open up spaces for his teammates. He is also strong with his back to the basket, can adapt to the opponent, is not selfish and always looks for the extra pass. His experience is immense, he will help us a lot!”.
