AS Monaco requests urgent review of Betclic ELITE registration

The club says a new investor has committed €10 million and has submitted fresh financial guarantees to the French federation

AS Monaco has formally asked the French Basketball Federation’s Federal Bureau to urgently refer its case back to the Appeals Chamber and reconsider the club’s registration for the 2026-27 Betclic ELITE season under Article 925 of the FFBB regulations.

The club argues that its financial situation has changed substantially since the July 31 decision. Monaco says it has taken steps to settle historical liabilities owed to suppliers and third parties, secured shareholder debt waivers and completed a new investment operation carrying a €10 million commitment for next season.

The submitted documents also reportedly address agreements with creditors, EuroLeague obligations and funding for the entire 2026-27 campaign. Monaco is willing to accept additional monitoring or conditions and is asking to be assessed on its current financial position before being admitted to Betclic ELITE.
