AS Monaco star Mike James has officially confirmed that he will leave the club at the end of the season, putting an end to all speculation regarding his future. In an interview with L’Equipe, the veteran guard clarified that he will become a free agent this summer, emphasizing that he has not yet entered negotiations with other teams despite the numerous rumors circulating throughout Europe.
When asked about reports claiming the existence of a contract valid until 2027, James used a very effective metaphor to respond to the rumors: “There is also talk that Elvis is still alive,” the player stated.
With these words, James definitively dismissed the idea of remaining in the Principality beyond the current season. He further firmly reiterated that he has not signed with any other club and has not had contact with anyone, specifying that his only focus at the moment is exclusively on finishing the season in the best possible way.
