AS Monaco handed another disciplinary fine: €1,000 plus €1,000 suspended

The sanction is linked to a court invasion during Game 3 of the Betclic ÉLITE Finals against Paris Basketball.

In an already complicated summer for AS Monaco, the Roca Team has received another disciplinary sanction. The league’s disciplinary commission punished the club for a public safety incident during Game 3 of the Betclic ÉLITE Finals, when a spectator entered the court to confront referee Mehdi Difallah.

The commission, which met on July 22, imposed a €1,000 fine on Monaco, along with an additional €1,000 suspended fine. The suspended amount will become payable if the club is readmitted to Betclic ÉLITE for next season.

The sanction is lower than the €1,500 fine Monaco received on June 16 for a previous public-related incident during a game against Paris Basketball. The latest punishment adds another issue to an already difficult period for the Principality club as uncertainty continues to surround its future.
