AS Monaco Basket announced it has mutually agreed to separate from Vassilis Spanoulis, with immediate effect. In its statement, the club said his commitment to the team and its values “will remain etched in Monaco’s history.”

Executive director Oleksiy Yefimov paid tribute: “I felt we were not only welcoming a coach, but a true leader.” He also highlighted the key milestone: “Vassilis led Monaco to its first historic EuroLeague final in Abu Dhabi.”

Monaco also pointed to trophies won during his tenure, including the club’s first French Super Cup and a Leaders Cup title. For the rest of the season, Sergii Gladyr will serve as head coach as the Roca Team stays “united and focused.”
