Arturas Karnisovas plans to hire person of color as Bulls General Manager

Several African-American executives from around the league were reportedly frustrated with the Bulls hiring process for Karnisovas' role.

New Chicago Bulls vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas plans to hire a person of color as the team’s general manager, league sources told Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo! Sports.

COO Michael Reinsdorf lead the hiring for Karnisovas’ position. Interviews with Wes Wilcox and Danny Ferry drew the ire of black executives who never got the chance to meet with Reinsdorf, who asked permission to interview Troy Weaver of the Thunder but was denied.
