Armoni Brooks was voted Coppa Italia MVP in Turin after delivering for Olimpia Milano, especially in the semifinal and final with momentum-shifting threes. “It’s amazing… I’m grateful to God for the talent and for this win,” he told reporters as the celebrations unfolded.
It was also the first trophy on the bench for coach Peppe Poeta, and Brooks highlighted the impact: “Since he took over the team, we’ve always had only positive energy and good vibes. So it’s really nice to get a win for our coach and for the organization”. On the run: “We struggled with Trieste, but we were able to get our physicality and intensity back in the next two games”.
Reflecting on the final’s ups and downs, Brooks stressed resilience: “We’re a team that can bounce back from adversity… We just have to keep improving, keep going day by day and grow as a team”. He also addressed his expiring deal and rumors: “Of course I want to stay. I want it 100%”.
