Vassilis Spanoulis is moving closer to becoming the new head coach of Aris Betsson. According to Sport24, the agreement between the sides is now in its final stage, with only procedural details left before it becomes official.
The Thessaloniki club has pushed hard to convince Spanoulis to accept the project, despite interest from EuroLeague teams. Key factors reportedly included the increased budget, expected to exceed €10 million, the presence of Richard Siáo in ownership and Nikos Zisis as general manager.
According to reports in Greece, the coach’s salary is expected to be €2 million.
