Dolomiti Energia Trentino is pleased to announce the contract extension of Selom Mawugbe until June 30, 2026. The LBA’s top shot-blocker will continue wearing the black-and-white jersey for the upcoming seasons.
This year, Mawugbe has been a key presence for Trento in the LBA, averaging 6.3 points on 68.9% shooting, along with 6.7 rebounds in 22.4 minutes per game. His rim protection, rebounding ability, and efficiency in pick-and-roll situations have made him a crucial asset for the team.
Mawugbe’s basketball journey started at Canyon High School and Azusa Pacific (NCAA DII) before moving to the G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors. He then transitioned to Europe, playing for the Rostock Seawolves, where he was named Best Defender in the German BBL. Last season, he competed in Le Mans and later in Liga ACB with Baxi Manresa, helping the team reach the playoffs. In the summer of 2024, he joined Dolomiti Energia Trentino, making his EuroCup debut and contributing 6.6 points (66.1% FG), 5.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.
