Giannis Antetokounmpo returned to Greece with his brother Thanassis, taking with him the Larry O’Bryant trophy and his Finals MVP title.
His words, via SDNA.
“I still don’t believe it. All year I have tried not to see the highlights, but now I wake up every morning and see on TV that the Bucks are NBA champions…. Just having those moments with 70,000 people on the street in Milwaukee during the parade was something incredible… .I like to win and give it all on the court. This feeling is addictive, I can’t explain it. We want to continue to improve, to go beyond our limits. If we keep our heads down, we’ll do great things in our careers… I’m not the face of the NBA, and I don’t want to be. It could be Durant, or Harden…. I just want to do my job, see my family. I want to win and have fun …. I don’t care being the face of the NBA, I want to be Giannis who works hard and plays for his team. As for the national team, I wish we were at the Olympics. I want us to achieve something with Greece too. Representing the flag correctly and winning, this is my next big wish “.
