Olympiacos co-owners and brothers Panagiotis and George Angelopoulos have donated 1,000,000 Euros to Greece’s national health system to assist in the battle against the spread of COVID-19. The money will be used to strengthen Intensive Care Units by purchasing necessary equipment at this time of need. The funds were donated through SYN-ENOSIS, the Greek Shipowners’ Social Welfare Company, of which George Angelopoulos is on the board of directors. In a statement made on the Olympiacos website, the Angelopoulos brothers said: “We believe that our contribution is needed today more than ever.”
