Andreas Obst has extended his deal with FC Bayern Basketball until 2029, signing on Monday morning in the presence of club president Herbert Hainer. The 29-year-old, at Bayern since 2021, is presented by the club as a key figure for continuity.
Hainer said Bayern are “very proud and happy” Obst is staying, describing him as “the face” of the team and praising both his shooting and character. Obst called it “a quick decision from the heart,” stressing how Munich has become home and that he wants to achieve more with the club.
The statement also highlights Obst’s current production in EuroLeague and the BBL, and notes a club first: a small merch collection released specifically to mark the contract extension.
