Andrea Trinchieri: “Vezenkov, as soon as he looked at the referees, had two free throws…”

Coach Andrea Trinchieri spoke after his team's game against Olympiacos: "It's difficult to play against a team with 43 free throws".

Zalgiris Kaunas lost 74-68 at Olympiacos in EuroLeague Round 2 after a 21-6 start to the first quarter. Below are the words of coach Andrea Trinchieri, who in the press conference highlighted the ease with which Vezenkov managed to get favourable whistles from the referees, which earned him 10 free throws to start the game.

Andrea Trinchieri’s words: “Vezenkov started the match with 10 free throws. We don’t know how, but every time he looked at the referees he got two free throws. He looked the other way and got two more free throws. It becomes very difficult to play against a team that makes 43 free throws… Olympiacos remains one of the best teams in the EuroLeague”.
