Anadolu Efes have been dealt another setback as Rolands Smits has suffered a left hamstring injury. The Latvian forward underwent an MRI following the injury sustained in the game against Valencia Basket, with his recovery timeline to be determined after a second scan on Monday.
In his second season with the Turkish side, Smits is averaging 7.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 20 minutes per game, shooting 51.8% from the field. Efes are enduring a difficult campaign, currently sitting at a 7–19 record.
