Anadolu Efes is facing major concern over Vincent Poirier, who suffered a foot injury during Game 1 of the Turkish League semifinal series against Fenerbahce.
The French center went down by himself in the fourth quarter and immediately grabbed his right foot in pain. Medical tests are still pending, but early indications point to a possible Achilles tendon issue.
It is another tough blow for Efes in an injury-hit season. Poirier had already missed the start of the campaign after knee surgery and played only 14 games in EuroLeague. Fenerbahce went on to win Game 1, 60-59, after coming back from an 18-point deficit.
