Alpha Diallo to Dubai: Monaco set to receive $750,000 buyout

Alpha Diallo is expected to leave AS Monaco and join Dubai Basketball, with the French club set to collect a significant buyout.

According to BasketNews, Monaco is expected to receive around $750,000 to release Diallo from his long-term contract, which ran through 2028.

The deal did not include a EuroLeague exit clause, only an NBA out. However, Dubai’s serious interest led Monaco to negotiate his release.

Diallo leaves as a key player: in the 2025/26 season he was named Defensive Player of the Year in both EuroLeague and the French league, confirming himself as one of Europe’s top defensive forwards.
