Allerik Freeman extends contract with Shenzhen

Freeman originally signed a two-month deal

Allerik Freeman has extended his contract with Shenzhen for the remainder of the season, agent Charles Misuraca of Slash Sports told Sportando.

“In early January, Freeman signed a two-month guaranteed deal for six figures per month,” Misuraca said. “He was one of the only players to remain in China during the Coronavirus outbreak. The team rewarded his commitment, loyalty and performance by guaranteeing the contract for the remainder of the season plus an additional amount.”

The CBA season is currently suspended due to the Coronavirus. Sportando’s Emiliano Carchia reported that the season is expected to resume in April.

Freeman has played four games for Shenzhen, averaging 25.5 points, six rebounds and four assists.
