Aliağa Petkimspor has signed 25-year-old American point guard Max Abmas. He joins the Turkish club after a season split between the G League, Puerto Rico and the NBA Summer League, confirming his profile as a high-level scorer.
Abmas is one of only 12 players in NCAA Division I history to surpass the 3,000-point mark. He was also the NCAA scoring leader in 2021, building his reputation as one of the most prolific scorers in college basketball.
Last season, he played 48 games with the Salt Lake City Stars in the G League, averaging 16.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists. He later joined Guaynabo in Puerto Rico, posting 15.9 points and 5.4 assists over 10 games while shooting 40% from three, before playing NBA Summer League with the Utah Jazz.
