The Italian guard spoke to Mozzart Sport about his move from Virtus Bologna, his relationship with Teodosic and Vildoza, and his role in Belgrade.

Alessandro Pajola has started a new chapter with Partizan Mozzart Bet after ten years with Virtus Bologna. The Italian guard spoke to Mozzart Sport about his first weeks in Belgrade and the reasons behind his decision to join the Serbian club.

“I’m very happy to be here. I found a fantastic environment, great people and teammates who are great to work with. It’s a new beginning, a new chapter, and that gives me a huge motivation. I can’t wait for the season to start and for the real games to arrive.”

Pajola also discussed his relationship with Miloš Teodosic, his former teammate and mentor, as well as the reports linking him with Crvena zvezda: “Miloš is a true friend. We played together for four years and he was a mentor to me. But friendship is one thing and work is another: agents handle negotiations. Miloš and I only spoke as friends. When Partizan called, I immediately said ‘yes’. It’s an honor to represent this club.”

On his role and the impact he wants to make, Pajola was equally clear: “I know Partizan fans appreciate defense even more than points, and that comes naturally to me. I believe that to win and compete for trophies, you need defense and teamwork. My goal is to win, and what I can offer at the highest level is my defense.”

The Italian guard also highlighted the importance of reuniting with Luka Vildoza: “Having Luka here helps, both on and off the court. We played together, we know each other, and sometimes a look is enough. There are other veterans too, and the chemistry grows every day.”
