Horford, 40, is now set to enter his 20th NBA season
Al Horford will remain with the Golden State Warriors.
According to Shams Charania and Anthony Slater, the veteran big man is declining his player option and intends to sign a new two-year, $14 million deal to stay in the Bay Area. The agreement was finalized with his longtime agent Jason Glushon.
Horford, 40, is now set to enter his 20th NBA season, becoming only the 13th player in league history to reach that milestone.
The 41-year-old took part in Philadelphia’s Blue-White Game in front of around 10,000 fans
The Heat coach praised the Greek forward’s court vision and passing ability after his preseason debut against Toronto.
The Greek forward makes his Heat debut with 9 points and 7 assists in a 129-105 win over the Raptors. Wiggins, Hardaway Jr. and Larsson also shine as Miami already looks comfortable in its offensive system.
