Controversy has erupted in Turkey following Besiktas’ 92-86 victory over Karsiyaka. Speaking out is the visiting team’s coach, Ahmet Kandemir, who is visibly upset with Dusan Alimpijevic, the head coach of both Besiktas and the Serbian national team.
“He’s a colleague of ours, but Besiktas is the club of Hakki Yeten (former club president), Suleyman Seba, and Vedat Okyar (former players). The latter used to say, ‘I can’t lie to the referee while wearing the Besiktas jersey.’”
And here comes the punchline: “I think the problem is that they’re simply putting pressure on the referees, provoking the crowd, and getting fouls called against others. I think those currently running Beşiktaş Club need to pay attention, out of respect for Süleyman Seba, Hakkı Yeten, and Vedat Okyar.”
Karşıyaka Başantrenörü Ahmet Kandemir, Beşiktaş GAİN maçının ardından beIN Sports’ta @GokceAlkan‘a açıklamalarda bulunurken, hedefinde Dusan Alimpijevic vardı.
“Özellikle Dusan Alimpijevic için şunu söylemek istiyorum; yani meslektaşımız ama burası Hakkı Yeten’lerin, Süleyman… pic.twitter.com/rPZOHf6ey8
