AEK Athens are facing an emergency situation following their return from the Rhodes tournament. According to SPORT24, eight members of the traveling party developed symptoms of gastroenteritis.
The illness affected five players, two coaches and one staff member. AEK were already dealing with four additional players sidelined by injuries.
With nine players currently unavailable, the team cannot continue its preparation under normal conditions. Its participation in the “Nikos Fasouras” tournament on September 18 and 19 could also be affected.
