There is a growing sense of “optimism” about the potential presence of Joel Embiid in Game 2 against the Boston Celtics. Embiid is dealing with a lateral collateral ligament (LCL) injury in his knee.

The basketball player has still participated in team practices and continued with additional individual exercises.

“I’ve been told there have been improvements and cautious optimism regarding the possible return of Joel Embiid to the court for Game 2,” said Adrian Wojnarowski, a journalist and basketball expert.
