Adam Silver says there is no rules issue with LeBron James using a helicopter to travel between New York and Philadelphia.
The NBA commissioner explained that the arrangement is allowed as long as it remains strictly between James and Fanatics.
“He has a deal with Fanatics,” Silver said. “It’s perfectly appropriate if part of his deal is they’re going to supply a helicopter to him as long as it’s just a deal between Fanatics and LeBron and no team is involved.”
James had already downplayed the attention surrounding the commute: “I’ve done it before; just another way of transportation.”
