Italian forward Achille Polonara is continuing his battle against myeloid leukemia and has undergone a bone marrow transplant at Sant’Orsola Hospital in Bologna.
Polonara shared an encouraging update on Instagram, writing, “Transplant all good.”
Speaking to Corriere Adriatico today, he also issued a heartfelt appeal for more people to register as donors, highlighting the critical need for increased participation in bone marrow donation programs.
