The Philadelphia 76ers are off to an 8-1 start, but LeBron James is not ready to talk about the NBA Finals. “It’s too early to be talking about the Finals and things of that nature on Nov. 4,” James said after Philadelphia’s 112-106 win over Detroit. “We got a good team. Guys vibe with one another, guys like each other.”
There is still a notable historical trend: the previous five times a James-led team started at least 7-1, it eventually reached the NBA Finals.
Jaylen Brown scored 30 points against Detroit and made a game-saving block on Cade Cunningham, while Joel Embiid added 26 points and 15 rebounds. James finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
