It is becoming increasingly unlikely that the Dallas Mavericks will trade Kyrie Irving before the deadline. According to insider Tim MacMahon, the franchise may prefer to keep the veteran, especially if the team has a chance to compete for a play-in or playoff spot.

“The more I see the team, the more I think it’s going to be awfully hard to trade him. There will be a big market, but Kyrie means a lot to that locker room and is working really well with Cooper. Basketball-wise, they are a phenomenal fit,” MacMahon said, highlighting the chemistry between the two players.
