Braxton Key looked ahead after Fenerbahce’s 95-76 loss to Real Madrid. The American forward also reflected on the Turkish side’s demanding road trip, which ended with a 2-2 record.
“2-2 on the road trip. Obviously wanted to go 4-0, but that’s part of the journey,” Key wrote on social media after the defeat in Madrid. “We faced adversity in every game and never pointed fingers or stopped fighting for each other. That’s something positive to take away, even when things don’t go your way.”
The Fenerbahce player stressed the importance of learning from the experience: “It’s still early in the season, and these are experiences we can learn from and grow through. Better to go through some of these things now than later in the season.” Key closed by highlighting the demanding schedule: “A lot to take away, a lot to improve on, and still figuring out our rhythm. Great things take time. Four cities in nine days, very tough.”
