Zalgiris Kaunas has officially announced the return of Keenan Evans. The 30-year-old American guard had already signed with the Lithuanian club during the summer before being loaned to the London Lions.
Evans previously played for Zalgiris from 2022 to 2024 before moving to Olympiacos. Last season was heavily affected by an Achilles tendon injury, although he eventually won the EuroLeague title with the Greek club. This season, Evans appeared in four EuroCup games for London, averaging 11.8 points, 2.8 assists and a PIR of 9.5.
Zalgiris president Paulius Jankunas explained that the move came after Nigel Williams-Goss suffered another injury: “We needed a quick solution and we have a lot of information about Keenan. He knows the organization, and we know him and the qualities we need. He is not coming here as a savior, but to help the rotation and improve the team’s overall play.” Jankunas also said Evans is in good physical condition, with his workload and minutes gradually increasing as his body has responded well.
