GM Bobby Webster says Toronto’s ownership remains willing to support the franchise financially

Kawhi Leonard’s two-year, $115 million extension will not limit the Toronto Raptors’ negotiations with RJ Barrett, who is entering the final season of his contract.

“No, I think ownership has been incredibly supportive. Any time, financially, we want to make a go for it, they’re very supportive,” general manager Bobby Webster said.

Barrett averaged 19.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists last season. The Canadian forward is entering the final year of his four-year, $107 million deal and remains an important part of Toronto’s new lineup around Leonard and Scottie Barnes.
