Cole Anthony is expected to be available for Melbourne United’s NBL season opener against the Adelaide 36ers on Saturday. The 26-year-old missed part of the preseason with a calf complaint.
“I’ll be ready,” Anthony told ESPN’s Olgun Uluc. “I’ll be there. I’ll be on the court.” The guard sustained the issue during practice in early September.
Anthony made an impressive Melbourne debut on August 30, recording 27 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals against the Cairns Taipans. He joins the NBL after averaging 12.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists across 367 NBA games.
